My Latitude E4300 is giving me constant issues whenever I swap from Wifi connection to inbuilt Wired LAN.
My E4300 is Win7 pro (New Installation .... ) Intel 5300 wifi card.
I also have netgear Router & switches which have Gigabit ports.
Whenever I swap between wifi & LAN .. most times I dont get a Gigabit connection. In Fact it was showing as 10mb Connection this morining after 2 system reboots. Gigabit connection seems to be sporadic.
Just to say as well ... I have an older latitude D410 which works flawlessly negotiating Gigabit connection on exatly the same cable everytime I swap between wifi & LAN... so is is safe to say the issue is not the routers/cable
Any clues?
cheers

Try look in Device Manager for settings related to your network adapter. You may be able to force a Gigabit connection or change some other setting.
I don't know how that will affect network performance if there is actually a different issue present which is causing your troubles.

Have you tried the latest LAN driver by chance? Windows 7 sometimes will find very old drivers.
